What's a natural way to improve the appearance of keloids?

I've tried corticosteroids and over the counter scar reducing medications, but nothing seems to improve the appearance of my keloid or reduce the itchyness. I've been told that shea butter can help. Can anyone substantiate that claim? Thanks.

Reply:First where is your keloid? Is it scalp, ear or other place? Are you a AfroAmerican? Keloids are very prominenant within Afroamerican -Black skin. What is a Keloid?

A Keloid is scar tissue. Its however abnormal scar tissue. It does not stop. It continues to build over and above, within a mass of skin cells and repeats itself - and becomes very noticable and pretty much a huge humilation within the person who has it. It is usually brought on by a rupture or injury of the skin. Can be as simple as a deep pimple, scrape, cut, wound or even a ear piercing - To start it off.

The issue is not how it started -but what is. A keloid is non-forgiving. You can have it surgically removed and it its possiblity of growing back and becoming even worse - is more than probable. I want you to visit the site I listed.

I dont want you to give up hope by my post. Keloids are really what they are. Just as many skin disorders ..as in excema. It won't kill anyone ..has been on the human body for centuries and never has been a cure found.. same sort of Medicine. Some one has to make a change. I know personally ppl with Keloids. I completely understand what your saying - I dont have it myself. But I do understand. This is the best Med site I can offer you to date. Its internationally incorporated via the best doctors and studies. Check it out.
