Reply:Yes. Anything that becomes infected or is often irritated will cause scarring. I believe the amount of melanin your skin produces will determine if your skin will keloid. Im not really sure about the melanin. I've seen alot of lip piercings that keloid and it is not pretty. Good luck!!!
