No, garlic will not do anything for scarring -- keloidal or any other kind. People on here will likely tell you that Vitamin E will work, but this is an old wives' tale. All Vitamin E will get you is contact dermatitis (which is not something you want). It would be nice if something like that were effective, but it isn't. And I have read actual scientific skin-care research studies about this.

The only actually scientifically proven remedy for scars (especially keloidal scars) is silicone sheets. You do have to wear them for hours a day, and sometimes for weeks before you can actually see a difference, and you do have to clean the sheet after every use, but it's the only remedy with research to back it up. So they're good, but not a miracle.

There are many brands, and any should work. Prices depend on the size of the sheet. Some examples are ReJuveness ($39.50 to $90), Syprex ($20 to $40), and Curad Scar Therapy Pads ($16.99).

Be aware also, though, that the scar may naturally fade a great deal with time on its own. Some of my scars have become nearly invisible after a few years.
