Have your doctor look at it--it's not really keloid but when you were immunized and I have mine on my leg, it left a funny type of scarring--see if your doc sees anything wrong with it and if laser done by a plastic surgeon would relieve your symptoms and help how it looks---also ask for an estimate of what it costs- I don't think insurance will cover unless there is a physical reason to have it fixed.
Reply:ethnicity's of darker skin have more pigmentation (obviously) and also prone to having keloids. Keloids are where when you are cut, the scar tissue grows to close the wound. When the scar tissue doesn't stop growing it forms a mass that is a keloid. You can get them removed. But, there is a very likely chance that it will come back, due to the fact that you have to CUT them off causing the need for scar tissue to grow. No one can say how fast or how big it will get.
