To get rid of keloids, take massive doses of protein enzymes between meals until they are gone.

The keloids are rich in fibrin, an inflammatory protein. Protein enzymes digest fibrin and the scarring that they cause without attacking normal tissue.

Good luck and be well.

Reply:Vitamin E oil and MSM cream may help too. Also, Vitamin E 400-800 IU daily with meals. Good luck!
Reply:Keloids are caused by a build up of scar tissue (or protien) in the skin, like a kind of scab, as the body's natural defence against something. As a result, they're very difficult to get rid of externally (by putting something on it), because your body will still have the irritation that caused it in the first place. It's especially commonly due to pressure, like from jewlery in a piercing. The BEST and possibly cheapest/easiest way to get rid of them is to get rid of whatever is causing it. If you aren't sure, maybe chat up your family doc.

There are a lot of things that supposedly work to get rid of keloids... but none of them worked for me. Even gobbing on loads of very concentrated Vitamin E. I finally got rid of it by relieving the pressure on the piercing... by using a smaller guage bar and then eventually putting the bigger one back in. It only took a week or two to go away once I did that... (after months of people telling me to put all these creams and stuff on it... and it even getting worse from some.)
Reply:Unfortunately, keloids are more prone to develop in people of African-American or Mediterranean descent. The best thing is to NOT shave in the opposite direction, do NOT pull any ingrown hairs, try to use a gentle cleanser that will not irritate the skin, don't pick at any bumps ( sometimes, easier said than done). I hope that this helps some.
