What are some ways to remove keloids while ears peirce?
Keloid scarring can be treated in several ways:
A dermatologist can do intralesional injections (injections into the scar) to help flatten them. They may appear redder than before, though.
Silicone gel sheets can sometimes help. They are also used to help lighten other types of scars.
Cryotherapy (freezing with liquid nitrogen) can also flatten the keloid.
Laser therapy will flatten a keloid and also lighten the color if needed.
Surgery to remove keliods is risky because it can trigger more scar formation.
